Anton Raphael Mengs, né le 12 mars 1728 à Aussig, en Bohême, et mort le 29 juin 1779 à Rome, est un peintre et théoricien d'art allemand, premier chef de file du mouvement néo-classique en peinture, qui remplace le rococo comme style de peinture dominant en Europe.
